Across Years Three to Year Six at Middleton Parish, we continue to build on the foundations of learning that have taken place in Key Stage One with our ethos, Excellence, Truth and Grace at the heart of this. In Key Stage Two, children develop their knowledge and skills within core subjects and foundation subjects through pacey, engaging and challenging lessons preparing them for the transition to secondary school. Children are encouraged to prosper as independent, resilient learners who are HeartSmart and have a growth mindset ready to tackle challenges they may face. From outdoor learning in our forest to experimenting with electrical circuits, or becoming rock gods with Times Tables Rock Stars; children have many opportunities to foster their love of learning in Key Stage Two. Extra-curricular sporting opportunities also play a huge part of school life with ample possibilities for children to represent the school in a range of sports such as cross-country, football, netball and swimming.
